13-2, huh? Pretty ballsy, considering the number of terrible reviews for 13 itself.

The Versus trailer definitely looks the best (or "best"), though. It's somehow made serious-faced guys in suits look even sillier than fantasy people with giant, buckler-armored arms. Are they just supposed to be in.. Japan? Where are they?

If it sells, I wouldn’t rule out a 13-3. Or a 13 Junior. Or an all-chibi version starring Mickey Mouse. Not even kidding. Remember how SE pushed out Dirge of Cerberus in like three weeks, after everybody on the planet joined that lame Advent Children comm and wrote in "Vincent Valentine" as their favorite character? And in the process SE pretty much destroyed everything even mildly entertaining about Vincent in the first place? And in the game he had a branded phone that you could actually buy? For like $650? Yeah, that.

Actually, yes, I think so! They’re in some AU version of one of those super-famous Tokyo wards, I think. Toshima? Shinjuku? Elsinore? Something. Some fantastic hypothetical future in which everybody has a long, meaningless Latinate name, the men vaguely resemble famous Shakespearean actors, and people leave their battle mechs standing unattended in the middle of the street. Fun place, looks like.

I think I need a new-world Final Fantasy icon, so I do.

I just wrote like two paragraphs on why pulling promotional videos from YouTube on the grounds of "copyright infringement" is idiotic, but realized it probably wasn't very interesting to anyone but myself (who so loves to read the sound of my voice). They're just figurative dinosaurs, period. Dinosaurs who are bad at business!

If there's one thing SE is good at, it's directing their projects toward fan preferences at the expense of playability, consistency, characterization, and thematic depth.

I'll be honest, though: I kind of want to play Versus. I think I could possibly enjoy it for what it is. (Which is PPHHHHHHHHBBBBBBB!) But only if the price of the PS3 drops by 50--no, by 100$.
