skins is a British show, but I guess MTV has begun "remaking" it, from the beginning, but set in America. I've heard it's pretty bad.
(I've seen the British version. It was okay, not as great as I'd heard, but I actually liked it more once they got into the second generation and dropped the ostensible "realism" in favor of a more "Degrassi on steroids/Greek tragedy" vibe.)
